The Pascack Hills softball team has played many games.  The Pascack Hills softball team has won many games.  But on Monday April 23, 2018, for the first time in their history, the Pascack Hills softball team played on the campus of Pascack Hills - and to make it sweeter, they won!  On hand for the opening ceremony and first game were previous coaches, alumni, building and district administration, and Board of Education members.

To start the ceremony, Mr. Phil Paspalas greeted all in attendance, giving a history of the team and what it has taken to get to a softball field on the campus of Pascack Hills.  Superintendent Erik Gundersen then addressed the crowd, thanking everyone for their continued support and effort in making this a reality.  Board Member Brian Hallowell spoke to the importance of bringing the softball program on to the campus, and to close the comments, coach Erin Curatola gave a heartfelt speech on the perseverance it has taken for all to get to this momentous occasion.

We are incredibly excited to see many softball games to come on the new field.  From the people who brought the idea forward, to the people who planned the field, to the workers who built the field, and to the staff who remained dedicated to the nearly year long project, we would like to thank everyone who made this dream come true for our community.

We also thank northjersey.com for their coverage of the event.
