Students in our Molecular Genetics programs from both Pascack Hills and Pascack Valley high schools participated in the North Jersey Regional Science Fair (NJRSF).  The purpose of the NJRSF is to support, encourage, and recognize student involvement in scientific research.

This year, we had multiple recipients of awards from each our high schools, including one group of students from each high school being accepted as finalists for the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair - the world's largest international pre-college science competition.

Students in the Research in Molecular Genetics program have gone on to attend colleges such as Duke, MIT, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, and many other high caliber schools. Numerous alumni of the research program are currently performing research on cancer or Alzheimer’s at major institutions or have become medical doctors.

The district is proud of all of our students' participating in the Molecular Genetics program and in the NJRSF.  We would also like to recognize Dr. Martin Edelberg (Pascack Hills) and Dr. Marlene Healey (Pascack Valley), both science teachers, for their expert guidance with our Molecular Genetics programs.
