District Recognized for Contributions

During a ceremony held at the meeting, PVRHSD, represented by Executive Board member Barry Bachenheimer and Operations Committee member Tina Marchiano, received a recognition plaque on behalf of the district.

The MSUNER is a school-university partnership dedicated to the simultaneous renewal of schools and teacher education through collaboration among Montclair State University and its partner school districts. In partner districts, teachers and administrators gain the opportunity to work with Montclair State University faculty at school sites and at the University. It is a model of partnership that effectively links all aspects of teacher preparation and development resulting in a continuous cycle of school, university, and teacher renewal.

Over 20 PVRHSD faculty have been appointed as Clinical Faculty members with the MSUNER which means they work with student teachers, engage in professional development, or teach colleagues. PVRHSD has been a member of the MSUNER since 2012 and during that time has received thousands of dollars worth of grants, professional development, and consultation with university professors to assist faculty and students.
