For nearly 16 years, Mr. Jeffrey B. Steinfeld actively served on the Board of Education for the Pascack Valley Regional High School District.  With his current term set to expire at the end of December, he decided not to seek re-election and has chosen to step down.

Mr. Steinfeld was elected to serve as a Hillsdale representative to the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education starting April 2003.  During his tenure, he faithfully attended and actively participated at the Executive and Public Board of Education meetings. Part of his active service included:

  • President of the Board of Education for ten years.

  • Chairperson of the Buildings and Grounds, and Negotiations Committees.

  • Committee member of the Board-Staff Relations, Building and Grounds, Curriculum, Finance, Negotiations, Policy, Student Activities, and Technology Committees.

  • Liaison to the Pascack Valley High School Parent Faculty Organization.

Throughout his service, in all capacities noted above, Mr. Steinfeld provided ideas, opinions, and thoughts, as well as leadership and guidance to the Board and each of the committees on which he has served.

At the Board of Education meeting on Monday, December 17, a resolution was read into the record noting Mr. Steinfeld’s service and the Board’s appreciation for all of his efforts.  The Board also thanked him for his service to the superintendent, administration, faculty, staff, students, and citizens of the four sending districts.

The Pascack Valley Regional High School District is incredibly grateful for Mr. Steinfeld’s service, and we wish him well with all of his future endeavors.
