Mr. Killian Wins Princeton Distinguished Teaching Award

Hills Mathematics teacher and Robotics coach, Kevin Killian was selected as one of only four teachers in New Jersey to receive the prestigious Princeton Distinguished Secondary School Teaching Award.

Each year since 1959, Princeton University has honored at its Commencement four outstanding New Jersey teachers from public and independent schools for their contributions to the lives of the state’s secondary school students and to their school communities.

Mr. Killian was chosen from hundreds of nominees who have demonstrated highly effective engagement with their students in the teaching and learning process, dedicated service to their school and community, and significant commitment to their own professional growth as lifelong learners. 

The award will be presented as part of Princeton’s Commencement exercise, which will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.   The recipients will march in the Commencement procession, be seated on stage with the faculty, and  be individually recognized during the Commencement ceremony.
