District Mission Statement: To prepare our students for successful college and/or career experiences with the needed mindset, skills, structures, and knowledge to accomplish that goal.

Welcome to the Pascack Valley Regional High School District

The Pascack Valley Regional High School District is truly as special place where the board and staff strives to provide our students with innovative instruction, a versatile framework, and educational resources to develop the skills and obtain the knowledge they will need to pursue their passions and advance toward their future goals.

Initiatives to Realize our Vision

The Pascack Schedule

Our master schedule is designed to promote independence and encourage our students to engage in non-traditional educational opportunities that have otherwise not been available until now. It is a schedule unique to the needs of our students and our district, providing expanded learning blocks, a rotating daily schedule, a common lunch, and the opportunity for students to make decisions about how they would like to personalize their own learning opportunities via the Pascack period.

1:1 Laptop Initiative

Implemented in 2004, the 1:1 Initiative has transformed the way our teachers teach and our students learn. Students utilizing the technology at their fingertips, just as those in the workforce utilize technology to access information, collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge with others, and present learned experiences and knowledge to others. These educational resources and enhancements the 1:1 Initiative provides for our students continues to prove valuable for our students when the leave the halls of our district.

Virtual School Days

Our 1:1 initiative has allowed our district to model innovative practices for our students, including the use of Virtual Days. We launched the first Virtual Day in the State of NJ, February 2014, with our students and teachers proving once again that they are a progressive, innovative, and forward-thinking team of learners.  We continue to appropriately implement Virtual Days, as we feel this is a valuable opportunity for all students, who are likely to take online courses in college.  Additionally, this has served as a creative way to recover school days if we exceed our allotted number of snow days.

Recognition & National Involvement

Our schools are successful because we have an exceptionally progressive staff of educators, a supportive school community, and motivated students!  Our collective efforts to enhance the educational experiences and opportunities for our students has been recognized by officials in New Jersey and nationally.

Digital Promise's "League of Innovative Schools"

Our selection to this group of districts reinforces that officials around the nation recognize our district as an innovative learning environment, continually seeking more engaging and meaningful educational experiences for our students. Participation in this "League" has our district collaborating with some of the most forward-thinking school districts in the country and has inspired positive change over the years.

Future Ready

While attending the President's "Connect Ed" summit, our district was one of the first in the nation to sign the Future Ready Pledge.  Since then, we have actively worked with "Future Ready - New Jersey," not only to become certified in the initial cohort, but to actually help the  organization craft and establish the criteria for certification.  Our participation helps our district, as well as others in the State, continue to improve their programs and practices.

I urge you to reach out to any staff member or me if you have any concerns regarding our district. Our lines of communication are open and we look forward to hearing from you. On behalf of the teachers, support staff, and administrators in the Pascack Valley Regional High School District, we thank you for your ongoing support of our schools!
