Pascack Hills Senior Aria Chalileh was recently awarded the Girl Scout Gold Award by Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey! The Gold Award is the most prestigious award in all of Girl Scouts, and requires a minimum of 80 hours dedicated to a project that impacts your surrounding community. Only 5% of Girl Scouts receive this award.

Through her project, Aria reached approximately 2,000 students and parents in the Bergen County community, including Pascack Hills High School and Fieldstone Middle School, through live and pre-recorded presentations to educate them on the harms of vaping. She focused particularly on the health hazards of vaping, marketing practices of Big Tobacco, and empowering youth to choose a "natural buzz". Aria collaborated with the Bergen County Prevention Coalition, Hills-Valley Coalition, and Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids to help accomplish this goal.

We are so proud of Aria for her tremendous service to our community and for achieving this high honor!
