CPR training for K-8 Nurses
Graphic: CPR Training on a dummy. On Friday, October 14, 2022, the Pascack Valley Regional Curriculum Office provided CPR: Basic Life Support training to nurses from the K-8 schools. Pascack Valley Curriculum Director Dr. Barry Bachenheimer and Regional Curriculum Coordinator Alyssa Merritt, who are both CPR Instructors, provided the training. Whereas most faculty are trained at the “Heartsaver” level, nurses require a higher level of CPR training called “Basic Life Support". One of the many services provided by the Regional Curriculum Office is CPR training for school emergency response teams.
