On Wednesday March 14, Ms. Tracey Listro, Ms. Julianne Downes and Ms. Cindy Wagner went to Wagner College to compete in a "Chopped" competition. The Master of Ceremonies for the event was Food Network Chef Jet Tila.

Our teacher chefs had to create an appetizer and a main dish in 30 minutes using three mystery ingredients: a tomatillo, an Asian pear, and a green pepper. Their appetizer and main dish were presented to the 6 judges. Our Pascack Valley Regional teachers finished in 2nd place for this competition, but more importantly, had a wonderful day of learning from other teachers and the judges.

Below are three pictures. The top picture is of several teachers with Chef Jet Tila. From left-to-right, the people pictured are: a teacher from Brick (NJ), Ms. Tracey Listro (Pascack Hills), Chef Jet Tila, Ms. Cindy Wagner (Pascack Hills), a second teacher from Brick, and Ms. Julianne Downes (Pascack Valley). The bottom left picture is of the Pascack Valley Regional team's appetizer, and the bottom right is of their main course.

Three photos in one - the top photo is of the teachers who competed in the "Chopped" competition along with Chef Jet Tila. Bottom left is their appetizer dish. Bottom right is their main dish.
