Baseball Group 2 State Champions - Again!

For the second time in two consecutive seasons, the Pascack Hills baseball team capped the 2019 season by winning their Group 2 championship on Saturday, June 8th at Hamilton Township’s Veterans Park. This goes along with winning the State section the last 3 years in a row, the Bergen County championship last season and multiple league titles in the past few years.

This group of players compiled an astonishing 80 and 14 record in their 3 years as varsity players, having previously gone undefeated as freshmen, and winning the County freshmen championship. Senior Ryan Ramsey pitched a complete game, 1 hit shutout for the win. Senior Mike Rodriguez got the game winning RBI that score Junior Spencer Berson and Senior Chris Curcio. In the semi-final game leading into championship, Senior Brandon Siegenthaler pitched a 2-hit shutout, ending his season with a 9-0 record and a 0.3 ERA, and will play for Villanova in the Fall.

Here is the list of seniors in order of their jersey numbers: Joe Mirza, Chris Curcio, Marc Hernandez, Connor Quigley, Jared Christophel, Julian Bulzomi, Matt Giammanco, Mike Rodriguez, Ryan Ramsey, Brandon Siegenthaler and Nate Barcus. The team is coached by head coach, Kevin Kirkby, Assistant coaches Dave Frangiosa, Nick Evans, Matt Marini, Steve Casamento, Joe Gambardella and Mike O’Brien. 

We are incredibly proud of our baseball team and congratulate all the players and coaches for another great season!
