The Pascack Valley High School Environmental Club again partnered with “Second Chance Toys” to keep used toys out of landfills and instead bring joy to children in underserved areas of the state. This is the 8th year Environmental Club members have donated over 300 used toys to deserving children.

Each year, Second Chance Toys pairs Pascack Valley High School with a local homeless shelter, women's shelter, or house of worship in an area of need. This year's toys were donated to the NJ Community Development Corporation in Paterson, NJ.

“Not only are we glad these toys made someone’s holiday more special, but we are also promoting reusing and recycling rather than just throwing toys away,” said Mrs. Michela Piccoline, Environmental Club Advisor and PV Science Teacher.

Second Chance Toys (secondchancetoys.org) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation founded in 2006 to rescue and recycle plastic toys for children in need by donating them to community organizations.
