Since Talent Night was introduced to the Hills community in 2016 it has brought new and old faces to the Hills stage.

As all the performers took their place on the Pascack Hills stage on April 13, the annual Talent Show, once again, did not disappoint. Every performance was unique in its own way; whether it moved the audience to tears, laughter, or shock the entire night was unforgettable.

“It was a really fun experience and I am glad I got the chance to be a part of it!” Hills freshman Caitlin Buckley said.

Since Talent Night was introduced to the Hills community in 2016 it has brought new and old faces to the Hills stage. Run by Hills Choir Director, Margarita Elkin, Talent Night is an event that encourages all of Hills to showcase their talents.

In multiple emails sent out to the Hills community promoting the event, people who helped plan the show would state: “it doesn't matter if you're a singer, rapper, poet, violinist, yo-yoer, interpretive dancer, or what. You have the opportunity to take the stage during Talent Night!” With a diverse assortment of talents such as singing, dancing, playing instruments, and reading poems the audience was engaged and intrigued the whole night.

“It was such an amazing opportunity to just have fun performing what I want to perform,” Hills junior Haydn Hopper said, “Students are given complete creative liberty with their acts, and that makes the event extremely special.”

Hills sophomore Sophia Padilla, who sang in the show, said, “I was very nervous to perform; I had never sung publicly before. Thankfully, I had my friends and family with me to cheer me on.”

“I was happy to see the new faces on the Hills stage, and it gives me hope that our annual tradition will go on,” Elkin said, “There were many dedicated students working behind the stage as well, not in the spotlight. I would like to thank all who came to support Hills Talent Night; we definitely had the best audience!”
