A Message from Sarah Bilotti

Superintendent of Schools

Dear PVRHSD Community,

The Pascack Valley Regional High School District has maintained a reputation of excellence for decades.  From academics to athletics, performing arts to practical arts, and co-curriculars to community outreach, Pascack Valley Regional truly creates a culture of innovation, inquiry, and individuality that is admired by districts nationwide.  For these reasons, I am proud and honored to serve as your new Superintendent of Schools.

During these last few months, I have had the opportunity to spend time with Dr. Fishbein and tour the high school buildings, which has helped to bring the reasons for Pascack’s excellence into better focus.  The care our faculty and staff have for students was evident the moment I stepped into the buildings.  The sense of student ownership of their school was made abundantly clear as I walked through the halls.  The sense of pride held by everyone in the school buildings affirms all I have come to learn about Pascack Valley Regional.

As I start in this position, the most common question I have been asked is, “What are you going to do first?”  My answer is: listen.  I want to listen to all stakeholders. I want to hear from our students what they love about our district and I want to learn about their concerns.  I want to know how you would like to work with me to make our district an even better place!

For the remainder of the summer, I look forward to spending time with our administrative team to get a better understanding of the initiatives we have underway.  I look forward to getting to know our support staff, the people who work behind the scenes and keep our schools working well.  As the summer comes to a close, I cannot wait to meet with our award winning faculty, to learn more about their experiences and their ideas for the future.  Finally, I am anxious for the school year to get started, providing me an opportunity to meet and learn from our students and parents.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this letter, I am proud and honored to serve as your new Superintendent of Schools.  Continuing the excellence of this great district is a responsibility I take very seriously, and a responsibility I look forward to fulfilling with all of you.
