Mathematics

The goal of the Mathematics Department is to facilitate the construction of meaningful mathematical knowledge and skills, with the ultimate goal of promoting the personal and professional growth of each student.

The mathematics curriculum is designed to meet and exceed the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Mathematics, as students will have opportunities to take advanced courses such as Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, College Algebra, and Discrete Math, as well as the core courses of Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II with Trigonometry. In addition, students will have the opportunity to take one of several Computer Science courses, including Computer Science Principles, Honors Computer Science, and AP Computer Science A. Each of these courses will seek to build procedural fluency on a foundation of conceptual understanding.

The mathematics department is committed to using technology to enhance instruction and help students engage with mathematics in the 21st century.
