2023 - 2024 Board and District Goals

2023-2024 District Goals

1.  The New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum (NJQSAC) State of New Jersey’s evaluation system of its schools and school districts. This year the Pascack Valley Regional High School District will be examined and evaluated in five categories:  Instruction and Program, Governance, Operations, Fiscal Management, and Personnel. The State puts districts through a rigorous review of policy, procedures, and supporting documents.  This evaluation culminates with a site visit from a team of evaluators in March of 2024.  Our goal is to ensure that our District meets or exceeds all areas of review.

2.  Continue student metrics, benchmarking, and data acquisition practices in each academic department that reflect the District’s philosophy on improving instruction in an effort to monitor and improve student understanding and achievement of N.J. Student Learning Standards.

3.  Continue to improve upon the District’s ability to prepare students for the skills they need to be successful in college and careers via “Real World Learning” for all students.  The District will promote working to make a difference in one’s community and developing the knowledge, skills, motivation, and values to make that difference.

4.  To implement a new staff evaluation record keeping system district-wide through the implementation of the Genesis School-Fi system.

2023-2024 Board Goals

1.  Focusing on student and staff wellness, and promoting student advocacy, the Board will encourage and promote the School Climate Committees to make recommendations to enhance the betterment of the district through stakeholder input.

2.  Aligned with the District’s vision to promote student and educator achievement through the development of skills needed to compete and collaborate as ethical and responsible global citizens, Board members will attend at least one District event or one Professional Development event and will regularly attend Board Regular and Committee Meetings during the 2023-2024 school year.
